| Dr Prabhat Das Foundation is sponsoring several Programs for Women. Our aim is to help these poor woman to help themselves. We encourage Handicrafts, use of sewing machines etc. Computer Literacy, Women healthcare, Women sports, Vocational training are also sponsored. |
| Bihar is one of the poorest region of India as well as the whole world. “Out of its 86 million people more than 42 % live in abject poverty (per capita income is $ 94 a year, less than 50 cents daily), less than half can read or write”-(Indian Govt. Census 2001). Condition of local WOMEN is worse than this average statistics. Most of them are uneducated, un(or under-employed). "Dr Prabhat Das Foundation" is dedicated to the upliftment of the socioeconomically disadvantaged people of this poor region. Our special emphasis is on poor women. We believe in the great potential of women power. |
