Dr Prabhat R. Das,
MD, Ph.D., FACP, FCCP.
After finishing M.B;B.S. from the Darbhanga Medical College, Bihar; and M.D.
(Medicine) from the Rajendra Medical College, Ranchi, Jharkhand Dr Prabhat Das
came to USA in 1989.
He did his Residency in Medicine and later Fellowships in Pulmonary Diseases at the
New York Methodist Hospital, New York, and in Critical Care Medicine at the Mount
Sinai Hospital, New York.
He is American Board Certified Specialist in three specialties. He is Diplomate of
American Board of Internal Medicine, Diplomate of American Board of Pulmonary
Diseases and Diplomate of American Board of Critical Care.
He has a Ph.D in Medicine. He is also a Doctor of Medicine from the University of the State of New York, a Fellow
of American College of Physicians (F.A.C.P.) & a Fellow of American College of Chest Physicians (F.C.C.P.).
He held faculty position at Buffalo General Hospital, Buffalo, New York and in the Department of Medicine at the
State University of New York at Buffalo. At present he is working as a consultant in Pulmonary Diseases and
Critical Care Medicine in New Jersey, USA. He has presented and published several papers and book chapters.
Dr Prabhat Das has seen poverty in its worst form in Bihar-Jharkhand regions of India. He has been working for
this region in his individual capacity. To better organize his effort “Dr Prabhat Das Foundation” was formed. This
is a Tax-Exempt organization registered in New Jersey, USA; and working for the upliftment of economically
disadvantaged people in this very poor region of south Asia.

In Feb. '07, also Dr Das was in Bihar meeting people and coordinating the work of
Dr Prabhat Das Foundation.
